HOW TO| Turn your LBD into a BBD!

We already know that every woman needs at least one little black dress in her closet. A dress that gives off a sexy edge, while remaining ever so classy. The key requirement or element for a dress to be a LBD according to me? It has to YOU. Because, let's be real, the best addition to any outfit is you. Your confidence, your sass, your smile. It has to bring out the best in you. It has to make you feel like the prettiest woman in the room, or at least the best dressed, lol. It could be a lace, tulle, sheer, off shoulder, ruffled, feathered, bedazzled, it can be just anything that suits your fancy. There are no rules here, just make sure that you feel your best in it. Turn that LBD into a Bomb Black Dress! How? Let me show you:

Find your "thing"
I definitely have a thing for lace, so me being drawn to this dress was more of what you can call "fashionista instinct" :). In my case, lace absolutely does it for me. I love the way it feels on my body and I like the element of showing something, but not all the way. Show off your assets. In my case, I have two ;) These twins are inseparable and love to take a small peek around the room, whilst remaining hidden and anonymous, lol. So v-necks clearly have my preference. By now, I think it's safe to say I found the latest addition to my collection. When the people at Top Vintage contacted me to check out their wide range of little black dresses, I know this would be the one. The dress fits like a glove and it really makes me feel so feminine. And after taking a look at these pictures, dare I say a little sexy too? So go on, find your thing.

Accessorize
So at this point (if you were in my position), you'll feel pretty good about yourself. Good for you! But wait! What if your awesomeness is too much too handle? How about adding a cute cover up, to make sure you don't knock anybody out with yo fly self. Or what about a cute pair of sunglasses? I absolutely love pairing a black dress with pearls of some kind: it can be earrings, a necklace or a bracelet, or ALL. Just make sure they compliment the way you feel.

Smile!
And now, the pièce de résistance, a gorgeous, radiant smile on that face of yours.
And there you have it! Easy peasy! Now go out there and be somebody!

In closing, I found this definition of a LBD on Urban Dictionary and had to share:
"LBD: Little Black Dress for the sole purpose of seducing men. Most women have one in the recesses of their closet. This is the dress that is just a little too short. Just a little too tight. One that hugs curves you never knew you had. One that looks as if it was made for your body and your body only. One that makes you feel sexy the second you put it on. It has to be simple. All black, no buttons or ornamentation. The exhibition of the LBD should only be used in emergencies because once revealed, it would never again have its full potency. The philosophy of the LBD is a writ in the canon of the Sisterhood"
I don't agree with everything but it has some good points! :)
