OOTD: A night at the movies

I'm so proud of my friend, Imanuelle, who's starring in her first Dutch movie! It premiered last Wednesday in 12 different cities throughout the country and it's already a major hit! It's based on a bestselling book about a Jewish boy from a "good" neighborhood who's suddenly obsessed with black women and their voluptuous bodies, much to the dismay of his parents. It's a comedy and I really had a good laugh. I sincerely hope this is only the beginning for her, she did such a great job!

I also went to visit one of the premieres and this is what I wore.

OOTD: Ruffed up

There are many ways to wear a cute lace dress like this one but I chose to "ruff it up" a little by adding this absolutely great Forever 21+ jacket (which the ever sweet Marquita sent me from the US) and ankle boots. Because I love wearing my Summer clothes through Fall and Winter too, I like giving them a more "edgier" look for the colder seasons.

Do you often wear your Summer faves throughout Fall and Winter too? How do you make them weather proof? Let me know!

OOTD: Twirl, twirl, twirl!

With a dress like this one, I can't help but feeling like a 5 year old again and twirl all day. It's just so flowy and light! And matched with these glittery shoes I feel like a princess. Sounds familiar? Do you have an item in your closet that makes you twirl all day?

P.S: The name of the winner of the $50 IGIGI gift card is mentioned in the original post.

OOTD: Birthday girl

Happy Birthday to me, haha. Yesterday was my 26th birthday, pff, 26 already! Time flies! Each year it get's harder to look at my parents and realize they have such grown up kids. They still look so young! I hope to look just as good by the time Jaelynn (and maybe my future kids) reaches the same age. I did have to work yesterday and I decided to wear my yellow "brush stroke print" dress from Asos Curve. It has been in my closet for quite a while, but I didn't have the chance to wear it yet, until yesterday. I've gotten so many positive responses to this dress!

Usually I celebrate my birthday each year but this year I decided not to do it, with the European Football Championships coming up (starting this Friday), I'll pass up this year. I thank the Lord for keeping me safe and healthy this past year and look forward to a new fabulous year!

OOTD: Country girl

Just a quick OOTD post from last Tuesday. Doesn't this dress look country-ish? Or picknick-ey? (I know, those are not real words, lol). I think it's so cute. And it has pockets, always a good thing! I'm still enjoying every ray of sunshine, hope you're doing the same!

OOTD: Feeling 'dressy'

I. love. this. dress. I have been waiting for an opportunity to wear this dress, but I needed better weather. Since yesterday was lovely, this is what I wore to church. As you  can see, I'm back to wearing my Mi Moneda necklace, I just couldn't leave it behind a day longer. And I can't seem to part with my shoes either, they're the best!

Have a lovely monday everyone.

Quick OOTD

So, here's a really quick outfit post. Please don't mind the crappy quality of the pictures, couldn't find a "photographer" today so I took them with my phone... Anyway, back to the outfit.. I really loooove this dress, it's so cute with the big bow. It's the first time I wore this, it has been in my closet for ages, even before the pregnancy. The funny thing is that I couldn't fit into it before I was pregnant, (it was too small) but now I can! How? I hear you ask. Believe it or not, but I didn't gain a single pound during my pregnancy, instead I lost almost 20 pounds! Weird huh? Well, kinda liking this type of 'weird'... So, when I want to lose some more weight, I'll stick to the 'pregnancy diet'!

As you may have noticed already, I cut my hair.... I had to because my hair was really unhealthy, so I'm hoping it will grow back healthier. It was even shorter but it's already growing back. I do miss my longer hair sometimes, but I kinda like this too (^_^)!

Review: Asos

First of all, sorry sorry sorry sorry for posting this review so late... I have no excuse...

Well, let's get started! (click the picture for a bigger image)

1. Asos Shoulder Pad Lace Bodycon Dress: I forgot to mention that I bought this dress in 'minty blue', because the black version was out of stock. I got this dress in a UK size 18. The dress is stretchy and comfy. It's made of this stretchy lace material and has an extra piece of fabric on the inside to prevent it from being all see trough. It also has shoulder pads. I do think the dress is a little short for me, so I'm not planning to wear this without a pair of leggings or some pantyhoses.

2. Asos Curve Woven Skater Skirt: I absolutely love this skirt! It's really lightweight and flowy. I got this skirt in a UK size 20. The skirt has an elastic band which makes it a perfect fit. I really love the lenght and color. It also has an extra piece of fabric sewed inside to prevent it from being see trough.

3. Asos 'Darling' Stretch Bracelet: This bracelet is so cute! Having said that I also have to admit that this bracelet is not a good choice if you have bigger wrists. Even though the bracelet is stretchy, it still is small. I think they could've added some more thread and pearls so it could fit everyone. I can just fit into it, and I understand that people don't want their jewelry to look like it's cutting off their blood-circulation... So yeah, it's nice but could've been better.

4. Asos Curve Linen Full Skirt: I'm sending back this skirt... I got it in a UK size 20 but it's too freakin' short! Asos is not to blame by the way, because the skirt looked just as short as it did on the website. But my personal experience with Asos Curve skirts is that they always look shorter on the model (I figured because they're taller than I am) than they really are on me. So I thought the same thing with this skirt... NOT. Maybe I'll exchange it for a bigger size so that I can pull it down a little. I couldn't even make a picture of the back of this skirt because my ass was showing, hahaha. Well, better luck next time.

Please note that all of these items were bought by me, I wasn't "sponsored" to do this (I wish! (^_^) ).
I will always state an honest opinion on everything I review.

If you have any requests, or if you would like me to do more reviews, just let me know and I will do my best. I plan on doing more reviews in the future. You can send me an email at supersizemyfashion@gmail.com.
