Burgundy
It's mac (trench) season, a time where the sun will still occasionally show herself and it's not too cold yet. If there's a brand that knows their macs, it has to be ELVI. Remember their all lace trench? And how about this one, a satin burgundy version (on sale now too!). I actually own three of their trench coats and I can't wait to add more (I mean did you see their metallic trench? omg). To compliment the coat and in true ELVI fashion -I noticed they love snake prints- I had to add these shoes to the mix.
The bag I got as a goody bag at an event, but I liked the way it looked with the coat. It's from a company that recycles clothes and makes other products out of them. Environmental chic!

Copenhagen Safari
Do you know these dark moments in life where things are not going the way you want to and you worry about everything? Well, that was definitely my case a few weeks ago. It took me a lot of thinking and praying, and to be quite honest, I had to find my "Christian Reset Button" again. You know, when you feel you haven't been a "good Christian" lately, then something happens and you have to stop your earthly/human way of thinking and put all your faith and trust in God? It's so hard, but it has helped me to be positive again and to end my negative thinking. At one moment I just had to say enough, it's time for sunshine again! And boy, the sun has been shining! I'm so blessed and thankful for that.
My trip to Copenhagen for Zizzi last weekend was a great start to my again found, sunshine filled life, and I will post everything about the new collection and fashionshow on the blog this week, so definitely keep an eye out for that. But first, a long overdue outfit post to make up for lost times! I wore this to the Zizzi blogger event. I absolutely love this dress with a little African, Safari feel to it with the giraffes and everything. It's very comfy too! And what better color to represent sunshine than yellow? Right?!
Enjoy your new week lovelies,
xoxo

In Bloom...
Spring has sprung!
This morning felt like a Disney movie! I woke up to birds "tjirping" and sunshine on my face. With Spring being so obviously present, I had to wear something floral. We went outside to take a walk with our daughter and got to see sheep with their little lambs. With this outfit, I could fit right in with the scenery!
Enjoy your day!

Post "V-Day"
Time for an outfit post again! Today's weather was so lovely, as you can see in the photos, lots of sunshine and a clear blue sky. I know the US is having a hard time in dealing with snow storms and awful winter cold, and for some reason, winter decided to stay away from the Netherlands this time. With average temparatures of 7 °C - 12 °C (44 °F - 54°F), I'm not complaining!
I did not post a Valentine's Day outfit, but let's just say, this outfit was kinda inspired by it. Red, roses and my new favorite shoes!

OOTD: Ruffed up
There are many ways to wear a cute lace dress like this one but I chose to "ruff it up" a little by adding this absolutely great Forever 21+ jacket (which the ever sweet Marquita sent me from the US) and ankle boots. Because I love wearing my Summer clothes through Fall and Winter too, I like giving them a more "edgier" look for the colder seasons.
Do you often wear your Summer faves throughout Fall and Winter too? How do you make them weather proof? Let me know!

OOTD: Dressy & Casual in the mix
When I read this Asos Curve Facebook post on this top I was somewhat surprised. It seems that it hasn't been selling that well and they wanted to know why. Although I can relate to the comments others made in regards to why they didn't like this top, I absolutely love it. It gives me a ballerina feeling :)
I was inspired to dress this top down with some distressed jeans, but to keep it classy at the same time by adding the heels and the necklace. I've seen it worn this way by Alicia of Cheetah is the New Black and I loved it so much I just had to try it for myself.
What do you guys think? Can dressy and casual be mixed together?
